Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using YouTool.io ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and YouTool.io ("we," "us," or "our").

Description of Service

YouTool.io provides analytics, productivity, and research tools for YouTube content creators. At the time these Terms were last updated, the public website tools and Chrome extension tools are offered without a required subscription, are supported by optional user contributions, and are provided as-is. YouTool.io does not currently run display advertising, bundle bloatware, or add watermarks to downloads or exports. Our service includes:

• Video and channel analytics tools
• SEO research and keyword analysis
• Content optimization recommendations
• Performance tracking and insights
• Account-based YouTube channel connection and read-only channel analytics features
• Historical connected-channel analysis for account features, benchmarks, and future experiment tools
• Chrome extension tools for YouTube and YouTube Studio workflows
• Educational resources for content creators

Independent Developer Notice

YouTool.io is independently developed and maintained. Support, updates, and new features are handled on a best-effort basis, and the service may evolve as YouTube, Google APIs, browser extension requirements, hosting providers, and available development time change.

Optional Support and Future Pricing

You may choose to support YouTool.io through third-party support platforms or other contribution methods we make available. Optional support helps fund hosting, API usage, maintenance, research, and future tools, but it is not required to use public tools unless a separate offer or plan clearly says otherwise.

• Support contributions are voluntary and do not create ownership, equity, voting rights, employment, partnership, or custom-development obligations
• Support contributions do not guarantee refunds, future access, lifetime membership, founder status, priority support, specific features, or service credits unless those benefits are expressly offered in separate written terms at the time of contribution
• The current goal is to keep public tools free for as long as the project can sustainably do so, but YouTool.io may introduce paid plans, subscriptions, premium features, usage limits, support tiers, founder/lifetime offers, or other funding models in the future
• If future pricing or access changes materially affect current users, we will try to provide reasonable notice where practical

Acceptable Use Policy

Permitted Uses

• Educational Purpose: Using our tools to learn about YouTube analytics and SEO
• Content Research: Analyzing public data to understand content performance
• Strategic Planning: Using insights to improve your own content strategy
• Competitive Analysis: Studying public metrics for market research

Prohibited Uses

YouTube API Compliance

Our service uses YouTube's API and is bound by YouTube's Terms of Service. By using our service, you agree to:

• Comply with the YouTube API Services Terms of Service
• Only access publicly available YouTube information or connected-channel data that you authorize through Google OAuth
• Respect content creators' rights and privacy
• Use data responsibly and ethically
• Authorize YouTool.io only for channels and Google accounts you have the right to connect

When you connect a YouTube channel, you authorize YouTool.io to retrieve and store read-only channel/video metadata and YouTube Analytics reports for connected-channel features. YouTool.io may use connected-channel performance patterns internally to improve tools and develop aggregate benchmark or experiment features. These permissions do not allow YouTool.io to upload, edit, delete, or publish YouTube content on your behalf.

Third-Party Dependencies

YouTool.io depends on third-party services including YouTube, Google OAuth, YouTube Data API, YouTube Analytics API, Supabase, Vercel, Chrome Web Store APIs, analytics providers, and browser functionality. Changes, outages, quota limits, policy updates, or data differences from those services may affect what YouTool.io can show or how a tool behaves.

User Responsibilities

Account Security

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your access to our service
• You are responsible for activity that occurs through your signed-in account or linked extension session
• Report any unauthorized use immediately
• Keep your browser and security software updated

Content Usage

• Ensure you have proper rights to analyze any content you submit
• Respect intellectual property rights of content creators
• Use downloaded data in compliance with applicable laws
• Verify accuracy of any data before making business decisions

Data and Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our data practices are governed by our Privacy Policy. Key points:

• We only collect data necessary for service functionality
• If you sign in or connect a YouTube channel, we store account, extension session, YouTube connection records, and connected-channel analytics history needed to provide those features
• Disconnecting your YouTube channel stops new connected-channel requests and deletes stored private YouTube analytics history tied to your account
• We do not collect your YouTube password
• Search history is stored locally in your browser
• We use analytics to improve our service

Intellectual Property

Our Content

• YouTool.io design, code, and documentation are our intellectual property
• You may not copy, modify, or redistribute our source code
• Our brand name and logo are protected trademarks

Third-Party Content

• YouTube data remains property of respective content creators
• We provide analysis tools, not content ownership
• Users must respect all applicable copyright laws

Feedback License

If you submit feedback, bug reports, feature ideas, or workflow suggestions, you give YouTool.io permission to use, adapt, and build on that feedback without compensation or obligation. You keep ownership of your own original content.

Service Availability

We strive to maintain high service availability, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access:

• Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance
• YouTube API rate limits may affect tool functionality
• Features may change, be limited, or be removed without advance notice
• Emergency maintenance may occur without notice
